Why Does Aloha Beach Camp Typically Offer Just 1 and 2 Week Sessions?

Every year, Aloha Beach Camp Hawaii offers summer camp programs and activities that ensure every camper returns home with lots of happy of memories and many new friends.

But have you ever wondered why, despite operating for three weeks, we primarily offer 1 and 2 week sessions? Here's the inside scoop!

Maximizing the Camp Experience for All Campers

The reason we primarily offer 1 and 2 week sessions is rooted in our belief in providing as many kids as possible with the opportunity to experience the magic of going to summer camp in Hawaii. By offering shorter sessions, more campers are able to rotate through our programs, ensuring more families can fit into our summer scheduling options.

Intensity and Pace of Camp Activities

Hawaii -- with its rich natural beauty and diverse ecosystems -- an unparalleled "outdoor classroom." That means we pack our sessions with dozens and dozens of activities from snorkeling. to hiking, to cultural experiences, to surfing and so much more. The 1 or 2-week session format ensures that activities are paced well, preventing campers from feeling overwhelmed, while still offering them a comprehensive camp experience.

Flexibility for Families

We understand that summer plans can vary from family to family. Not to mention, families may have many commitments throughout the summer.

Offering shorter sessions allows families to potentially pair camp with summer vacations, summer school, other camps, or other responsibilities.

It provides the flexibility needed to plan a summer that can be both relaxing and action-packed.

Building Connections Quickly

A unique aspect of our camp is the bond campers form with each other. Shorter sessions foster a sense of urgency to connect, bond, and make the most of the time spent together. By the end of their sessions, even 1-week campers often form friendships as deep and enduring as those forged over longer stays.

Customization is Key

While our camp's session structure is tailored to accommodate the most number of families, we acknowledge the appeal and value of a longer 3-week stay. That's why we're always open to customization! For families with campers who express interest in a prolonged experience, we can certainly craft a 3-week session tailored to your needs. And why not?! Spending 3 weeks at camp in Hawaii would ensue an even deeper immersion into the Hawaiian culture, environment, and the spirit of summer camp.

Whatever Works for You, Works for Us!

Our goal is, and always has been, to ensure that every child leaves our camp with a richer understanding of themselves, new friends, and enhanced appreciation for the beauty of Hawaii. Whether your camper spends a one, two, or even three weeks with us, we're committed to making it a summer to remember.
So, if you've been contemplating that extended 3-week stay, or if the standard one or two weeks sessions suit your needs, just remember - in the midst of Hawaii's breathtaking beauty, every moment is magic.

See you at camp this summer! 🌺🤙
