What Will You Do at Camp Each Day?
Welcome to Aloha Beach Camp, the ultimate Hawaiian adventure camp that offers a little bit of everything, from surfing to hiking to snorkeling and more. Curious to know what a day in the life of Aloha Beach Camp campers looks like? Let's dive in! (Please remember the following is only a sample...there are dozens upon dozens of additional activities going on!)
Morning
7:30 AM: Rise and Shine
The day kicks off with campers waking up to the sounds of waves crashing against the shore and tropical birds chirping in the distance. After a quick morning stretch (which includes the option for beachside yoga against the stunning backdrop of a Pacific sunrise), it's time to get ready for a full day of adventure.

8:00 AM: Breakfast Buffet
A healthy and delicious Hawaiian breakfast is essential for the day of activities ahead. Campers can enjoy everything from fresh fruits and pancakes to eggs and bacon with fresh squeezed orange juice and Hawaiian coffee, too. The dining area overlooks the ocean, so campers enjoy a spectacular view while enjoying their morning meal.

9:00 AM: Morning Activity: Surfing Lessons at Waikiki Beach
Once breakfast is cleared away, campers apply sunscreen and head to Waikiki beach -- just 30 minutes from camp -- in buses and vans for the first activity of the day: surfing, the sport of Hawaiian kings! Under the guidance of experienced instructors, campers learn the basics of paddling, standing up, and catching waves. Before you know it, campers will be re riding the waves like pros!

11:00 AM: Snorkeling Adventure
After an exciting morning of surfing, it's time for something a little calmer...but equally exciting! Campers are given snorkeling gear and shown the best spots where they can see underwater wonders like tropical fish, coral reefs, and maybe even a sea turtle or two! 12:30 PM: Beachside BBQ Lunch By now, appetites are peaking! That means it's time for a beachside BBQ to satisfy campers' appetites with a delicious lunch. Campers may enjoy a variety of grilled foods including BBQ chicken accompanied by island specialties like pineapple salsa and spicy mango dressing, among other choices. Of course, dietary restrictions are always accommodated. |
Afternoon

2:00 PM: Hiking Expedition
After lunch, it's time to explore the scenic landscapes of Hawaii by going on a hiking expedition. Campers are led by camp counselors through tropical forests and hilltop terrains, ending at a beautiful waterfall where they can cool off with a swim. Campers are reminded to wear sunscreen and drink lots of water to stay hydrated on the hike. 4:00 PM: Hawaiian Arts and Crafts Once back at the camp, kids engage in some creative downtime by participating in Hawaiian arts and crafts. |

This could range from making traditional leis to learning how to play the ukulele. These activities take place inside the cabins or right outside them.
Evening
6:00 PM: Dinner Time
Often featuring Hawaiian specialties like pasta, poke bowls, Kalua pulled pork, and of course, more fresh fruit, enjoying dinner together in our dining hall is something campers love the most. After a long day, it's the perfect time for campers to refuel and relax.
7:30 PM: Campfire and Storytelling
As the sun sets over the ocean, campers gather around the campfire to enjoy s'mores, skits, songs, and storytelling. This is also when campers and counselors share their experiences and highlights of the day. Local Hawaiian storytellers are often invited to share myths and legends of the islands.

What better way to end the day than by looking up at the clear Hawaiian sky? Campers get to learn about constellations and the significance of celestial bodies in Polynesian navigation. The stars in Hawaii are AMAZING! 10:00 PM: Getting Ready for Bed It's time to wind down. Camper get 30 minutes to get ready for bed including brushing teeth, changing into pajamas, etc. 10:30 PM: Lights out And so, under a sky full of stars, another exciting day at Aloha Beach Camp Hawaii comes to a close. |
