Who are the Camp Counselors and Staff?
Aloha Beach Camp counselors are chosen for their ability to work with kids in a leadership capacity plus serve as positive role models. They receive comprehensive training in child development, camper supervision, activity planning, child abuse prevention, risk-management, homesickness, behavior management, and more.
Meet Our Team
While the minimum age to be a counselor at Aloha Beach Camp is 19, many are state-certified school teachers with 4-year degrees and higher in fields ranging from math and science to recreation and outdoor education to marine science and everything in between.

They're Red Cross CPR, Lifeguard and First Aid certified, and have passed criminal background checks. Camper-to-staff ratios are 7 to 1 or less.
Passionate about outdoor activities such as surfing and hiking, our counselors are creative, engaged, have strong group facilitation skills, and highly committed to ensuring your child's safety and making sure they have the most fun they've ever had at camp. |

Collaborative Counselors and Staff

One of the nicest parts of our collaboration with Camp Mokuleia (besides the fact we get to use their amazing facility!) is that they provide many of their amazing counselors and staff to help facilitate a number of our camp activities.
While Aloha Beach Camp counselors certainly accompany our campers for the week in Hawaii and stay with them at all times, Camp Mokuleia provides additional support staff like lifeguards, counselors and activity specialists. Truly a collaborative effort, our staffs work side-by-side to ensure a positive, unique and memorable camp experience for your child. |

What could be better than being a camp counselor at a summer camp in Hawaii?! Nothing, right!?
Aloha Beach Camp starts accepting job applications in February, so if you're interested, feel free to apply at that time. However, please note we are only a small camp and don't hire too many new camp counselors from year to year. In fact, we are usually fully staffed by March with first priority given to returning staff. Apply early for utmost consideration. |
