FAQ's About Aloha Beach Camp's Hawaii 2026 Summer Camp Program for Kids and Teens

Program and Activities

If you're like most people, when you think of Aloha Beach Camp, you might envision our popular day camp program in Malibu, CA. But we also offer 1- and 2-week sleepaway camp experiences in Hawaii! In fact, 2026 will be our 18th summer operating the program. We invite your camper to join us for an amazing week of land and water sports, outdoor adventures, nature activities, and dozens of safe and fun camp experiences unique to Hawaii.

Boys, girls, kids, and teens between the ages of 7 and 17 from all over the world are welcome to join us at camp. If your child is looking for the most incredible summer camp experience of their lives...this is it! After all, our camp is in Hawaii — what could be more fun?!

We operate for 2 weeks from Monday, July 27 to Saturday, August 8, 2026. Campers may attend one or both weeks. Learn more about our session dates and registration process and discover why our limited-time, 2-week program is the perfect choice for your child's summer adventure.

Aloha Beach Camp's Hawaii Overnight program takes place at the Camp Mokuleia facility on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu. Located right on the beach between the mountains and the sea, it’s just 45 minutes from downtown Honolulu and Waikiki Beach — one of the most unique overnight camp settings anywhere in the world.

Late July to early August is the perfect time to enjoy Hawaii. The weather is ideal, the ocean is calm for snorkeling, and the surf is great for beginners. Our limited 2-week season creates a high-quality, intimate experience where campers form strong bonds and lasting memories.

Here’s a sample daily schedule from a 1-week session. Activities may vary, but most will be available:

Day 1
Snorkeling, Swimming, Alpine Tower, Night Swim

Day 2
Surfing, Kayaking, Stargazing, Hawaiian Storytelling

Day 3
Crab Catching, Archery, Sea Turtles, Pool Time

Day 4
Island Excursion, Surprise Activities, Luau

Day 5
Boogie Boarding, Camper Choice, Closing Campfire

Our staff are energetic, trained, and certified in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid. Average age is 27. All staff pass criminal background checks and are chosen for their ability to be exceptional role models for children.

All beachfront cabins have electricity, indoor bathrooms, and bunk beds. Each cabin group includes about 8 campers and 2 counselors who live, eat, and participate in activities together throughout the week.

Campers enjoy healthy, kid-friendly meals three times a day in our oceanview dining hall. We offer a full salad bar, vegetarian options, and accommodate dietary needs with advance notice. Meals during off-site excursions are included in your tuition.

Homesickness is rare, but our trained staff know how to manage it with care. If symptoms persist beyond 24 hours, we’ll reach out to you. Our goal is to help your camper feel comfortable, supported, and included.

All medications must be in original containers and will be turned in upon arrival. Only our health care provider or designated staff will administer them, with written parent consent.

Yes! You can attend either program or both — it’s completely up to you. Our Hawaii sleepaway camp and Malibu day camp are separate programs with no required overlap.

You won’t need much! After registration, we’ll send a packing list. Plan for swimwear, casual clothes, and essentials. We recommend packing light to avoid airline luggage fees.
