Our History, Background, and Story...

Welcome to Aloha Beach Camp's Hawaii Sleepaway Camp program, offering 1 and 2-week overnight summer camp sessions for kids and teens ages 7 to on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

About Us

Just 45 minutes from downtown Honolulu, our camp is held at Camp Mokuleia and located right on the beach where campers can see, hear, smell and touch the gentle Hawaiian trade winds and inviting Pacific Ocean waves right from their cabin doors.
Camp will be open for two weeks from Monday, July 28 to Saturday, August 9 for summer 2025. We offer convenient 1- and 2-week sessions during that time.

Aloha Beach Camp is family-owned and operated by Eric and Teri Naftulin, husband and wife. Eric and Teri founded Aloha Beach Camp, a popular Los Angeles day camp program, in 1999.

The couple added the Hawaii sleepaway component several years ago so kids and teens would have a choice to attend summer day camp in L.A., overnight camp in Hawaii, or both. Eric is on-site in Hawaii with the kids, while Teri runs the camp office.
Eric and Teri have three kids of their own: Sarah, 28, a San Diego State University graduate and child development professional, and twin boys Josh and Noah, 24, with Sociology and Communications degrees from UC Santa Barbara.

Our happy-go-lucky, high-energy camp counselors endure a rigorous 3-phase interview process and criminal background check. They are ultimately selected for their ability to work with kids in a leadership capacity and serve as positive role models for our campers.
Our staff is CPR, First-Aid and lifeguard certified to help ensure your child stays healthy and safe at camp. Learn more about Aloha's Hawaii summer camp staff today.
