Hawaii Camp Cancelled for Summer 2020

Aloha Friends,

We are sad to announce that we received notification from our host camp in Hawaii (Camp Mokuliea) that they have decided to close their own programs and cancel all visiting groups this summer in light of Covid-19.

In turn, we will in turn need to cancel our Hawaii Summer Camp program from August 3 to 8 this summer.

Truth be told, we were planning on making this announcement anyway irrespective of Camp Mokuliea's decision as the health and safety of our campers, staff, and customer families will always be our first priority.

Sleepaway camps are in a difficult position right now, where flying in airplanes, sleeping in close quarters, and eating in dining halls with so many other people at once is not advisable in light of the global coronavirus pandemic. Accordingly, this announcement only pertains to our Hawaii sleepaway program, not our Los Angeles day camp, as the day camp program is still on track to operate this summer.

Please note we fully intend to operate our Hawaii camp program again next year. We hope to see you then. In the meantime, enrolled families can either:

1. Transfer your child's enrollment and monies paid to next summer's camp while receiving an additional $100 credit to our camp store to be used next summer. You child will have a guaranteed spot at camp with no price increase;
2. Donate your child's paid fees to a scholarship fund we are starting so less fortunate campers can enjoy our program;
3. Receive a full refund of monies paid. (If you choose this option, please be patient as refunds will be issued by June 15)

We appreciate your trust in us and will miss your camper so very much this summer. We hope to see you again in summer 2021. Thank you for your trust and support. We hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and safe.
